We’ll recycle your old wetsuit.
Wetsuits are great. They keep us warm, protected and increase our ability to surf year round. But when we’re done with them it can be tricky to figure out what to do next. That’s where we come in!In partnership with in-country recycling facilities, we offer our Wetsuit Recycling program across Australia, we have launched our Wetsuit Recycling Program across Australia, USA,France, Portugal and Spain. Now surfers across the globe can recycle any surf branded wetsuit at participating Rip Curl stores.
Your old wetsuits are being recycled into raw material used for the creation of things like change matt and flooring or recycled in carbon black for the industry. Recycle your old, surfed out wetsuit (from any brand) at your local Rip Curl store, or mail it in.
(*) equivalent wetsuit units based on average 1,2Kg per wetsuit, since launching our wetsuit recycling program in 2020.
This program is only available in the United Sates, Australia and Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, UK and Italia).
USA: 11,383
France: 12,356
Australia: 9,020
Drop off your old wetsuits at your nearest selected store.
Your old wetsuit is then transported to our local in-country recycling partners for processing.
Once there, your wetsuit will be crumbed into a new raw material.
This new raw material can then be used for the creation of things like change matt and flooring or recycled in carbon black for the industry.
